Carrie Sewell FCCA Founder & Finance Director
Carrie is a business leader, business owner and Accountant.
She trained in a regional accountancy practice, where her love of work with small and growing businesses began. She has since worked as a Finance Director and business leader in a wide range of industries, ownership structures and sizes of business (start-up to £200m turnover internationally owned) spanning 25 years. Carrie has more than 15 years’ experience working in and alongside creative agencies, she also has extensive experience working as Finance Director in farming, rural business, financial services and B2B distribution sectors.
Carrie is passionate about business being a force for good in the world. She seeks to contribute to an inclusive and sustainable economy, and channels this goal in all she does. She highly values straight-talking, authentic collaboration, and loves working with creative thinkers.
Carrie founded Sapphire8 in 2019 in order to focus her extensive experience into empowering small and growing businesses. She strives to provide clear and meaningful financial insight and support so that business owners can focus on their passion and creativity.
Emma is our Management Accountant, who provides virtual finance team services to our clients. Organised, efficient and passionate about precision, Emma is highly skilled at keeping the team on track. She seeks to be a part of the client’s team by working collaboratively and open-mindedly to find the best solutions to their accounting challenges.
Emma is also our compliance expert, having worked in a regional practice of a national firm for 3 years prior to joining Sapphire8. She has an extensive knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks and associated apps, which means she can proactively support your business with efficient online processes.
Finance Business Partner
Caroline is a qualified Accountant, experienced Finance Manager and Finance Business Partner. She trained in a large regional accountancy firm, with a particular focus on working with owner-managed businesses and professional services clients, before transferring into industry to gain further experience.
Caroline has spent 10 years working in senior finance roles, specialising in creative and professional services businesses. Caroline’s broad range of experience adds huge value to our clients across all the services we offer, and her clear-thinking, authentic approach is perfect for our team.
